Sultan Sultan portrait Sultan was with me for 15 years, from '78 to '93. He was a quiet, sweet cat and unbelievable 'momma's boy'. He was quite shy and afraid of everyone, taking at least an hour to come out when company was around. His shyness was a source of humor on our vet visits, as he would hide his head in the side of my jacket so no one could see him. He was never quite sure since his head was buried, how that darned thermometer found it's target. Whenever he needed overnight visits at the vet, they very nicely put up a privacy screen in his 'room', so that he needn't try to hide under his litter box.
